I like things that are handy. Things that are easy to manage, aesthetically pleasing and practical.
Food Balls: delicious bite size morsels that pack flavor, nutrition and convenience into a small self-contained package.
Whoever thought of rolling food into spheres is genius. The idea of balls got me thinking. How about a one-stop shop for Paleo Balls? Who wouldnât love that???
Meatballs, powerballs, and sweetballs – Brilliant, I know.
RECIPES WITH BALLS
Meatballs: Your basic meatball made not so basic. These are four of my favorites that break the mold on ball making!
- BORA BORA FIREBALLS: I have made this recipe several times, and they are the most unique and flavourful meatballs I have ever tasted. My recommendation is to cut back a little on the garlic (we could smell our balls from the fridgeâŠ..in the garage.) These are a great summer recipe and delicious when paired with her Sunshine Sauce.
- BALSAMIC GLAZED MEATBALLS: I am a sucker for balsamic anything. I love the flavor but beware. Not all balsamic is created equal. Step up in price and enjoy a wider, more impactful, flavor palate. These meatballs would do great as an appetizer or even tossed with zoodles.
- THAI PALEO MEATBALL: Baked Thai meatballs with a chili sauce. All paleo and FOD map friendly. I love al the vegetables in these! These are delicious over cauliflower rice.
- PESTO MEATBALL: I have been toying with my pesto recipe. It is not quite ready for publication, but I love pesto anything! As an addition to this recipe, I grind up pine nuts in these delicious meatballs to make them even more pesto-ee
Not enough? Here are 44 other Paleo Meatball recipes!
Powerballs: The idea behind a good energy or power ball is that it provides energy, protein, and good fat. These two recipes definitely make the cut!
- PUMPKIN PIE ENERGY BITES: Pumpkin pie, or anything tat resembles pie is all right 365 days of the year in my books. How great to have snack sized pumpkin pie in the fridge just waiting for you after a workout!
- PALEO ENERGY BITES AKA: “CRACK BALLS”: These powerballs are addicting and delicious! Sometimes I have to split recipes and move some out to the freezer so I don’t eat them all at once!
Looking for more Powerballs? Check out this search on PINTEREST
Sweetballs: The good thing about these is they will nip that sweet tooth but also provide a nutrient dense, whole food after dinner treat.
- ALMOND JOY ENERGY BALLS: I love coconut and chocolate together. These dessert balls are packed full of vitamins and protein and yet will curb that craving for something sweet.
- LEMON COCONUT ENERGY BALLS: This is the perfect mixture of sweet, salty and tart. I can see eating these with a mimosa for Sunday brunch. Okay, mimosas arenât paleo but these are, and the look like deliciousness rolled in coconut!
How about a great Paleo Truffle Recipe? They are balls, right?
This week how about doing a little meal planning with some balls? Having them on hand can mean the difference between sticking to your food objectives or having your snout looking down the open end of a chip bag. Please share below which recipe you are going to try!
