Hydration Tracking (1:58)
Dr. Denniston reminds us that when it comes to daily water consumption, we should be drinking half our body weight in ounces. The only way to ensure that we hydrating our bodies enough is simple…track, track, TRACK. You can use free apps on your phone to help you do just that. There are so many app options available from easy to complex, so pick the one that works best for you.
Food Tracker (2:52)
Make tracking caloric content and the breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats simpler using MyFitnessPal. With over 50 MILLION, yes, MILLION downloads it is by far Dr. Denniston’s favorite food tracking app.
Tracking, in general, makes you far more conscious of your wellness choices. Whether it’s food or hydration, knowing what and how often you are doing certain things makes a huge difference in your health and wellness strategy.
Habit Implementation (4:34)
First, creating positive and healthy habits will have such a huge, HUGE impact later on in your life. So, finding the right habit trackers or implementation apps can make a notable difference in your success rate. Dr. Heather Denniston suggests two apps, Habitica and HabitBull. Stress Reduction (5:42)
The Headspace app helps you “bring things down a notch” through meditation and breathing techniques. Decompressing should absolutely be a part of your health and wellness strategy!

Connect with others to create a support group. Whether you use apps like WhatsApp or MarcoPolo like Dr. Denniston, surrounding yourself with others with like-minded goals can make all the difference. Being accountable to others can sometimes be the push we really need to hit certain goals or milestones.
