I know. None of us want to say it. We are afraid to offend, afraid of what the repercussions might be if the conversation doesn’t go well. I am pretty sure no one to date has been willing to take the risk…until now. I am. I am ready.
“Santa, you are morbidly obese and it is time you did something about it.”
There, I said it. Let the chips fall where they may. An empty stocking on Christmas morning? Lumps of coal in my bed? It was worth it. Santa’s health is just too important and carrying all that extra weight, particularly around the abdomen, is putting Christmas at risk for all of us. Not OK.
I knew I would have to follow the above proclamation with action. I considered what would Santa need to really be successful at his new health and fitness plan. Below is a curated list of gift ideas not just for our newly motivated Father Christmas, but for any health and fitness enthusiast. Enjoy!
THE FITNESS GIFTS SANTA SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
FOAM ROLLER: Every person should own a foam roller and those that are upping their workout game need it even more. A good foam roller can mean the difference between skipping to your next workout and not getting out of bed. BUY ME
CELEBRATIONS COOKBOOK: Danielle Walker’s third cookbook is reviewed as her best by far. Her gluten free and mostly paleo approach makes this book suitable for anyone. Her recipes are clear and easy to follow and the results, magnificent. BUY ME
DOTERRA SPORT: I love this Doterra Sport Kit! It has all the essentials to ease muscle pain and relax tight muscles that anyone might need. Comes in an easy to carry little bag and fits perfectly into a stocking! BUY ME
FIVE MINUTE JOURNAL:Your fitness enthusiast is going to succeed better if his or her goals are in writing. This five-minute journal makes it a snap to get up with gratitude and keep the goals clear and concise. BUY ME
VITAL PROTEINS COLLAGEN PEPTIDES: Weird giving a supplement for Christmas? I think not. Getting someone started on a super clean source of collagen and protein is like giving their insides a little Christmas hug. BUY ME
ADJUSTABLE DUMBELLS:I recommend these all the time. Perfect for the home gym. They take up no space and have tons of different combinations. Plus they just look so ridiculously cool. BUY ME
BOMBAS SOCKS: I am fascinated with these two dudes who thought to build a massive non-profit from socks. The double bonus? The company gives one pair of socks away to a homeless person for every pair they sold. They are comfy and supportive, AND you can feel all good about yourself because you did something awesome. BUY ME
RESISTANCE BANDS: Great for travel or the home gym, resistance bands provide a unique workout environment that can tone muscle quickly and with low risk of injury. Great for all fitness levels. BUY ME
INFRARED SAUNA: This would be the best gift ever. With the many many benefits such as weight loss, decreased inflammation, improved muscle soreness, and decreased joint pain, an infrared sauna is a gift anyone would love. Want to learn more about it. click HERE. Want to just buy one because it is so perfect? BUY ME
RUNNING SHOES: There is no shortage of cool running shoes out there, but these NEWTONS are the pair I have my eye on next. Tip: The more colorful, the greater your fitness cred. BUY ME
S’WELL BOTTLE: I have bought 12 of these S’Well bottles this year for gifts. They can take hot or cool liquids and have safe insides, yeah yeah, but the color options are the best! You can completely tailor your choice to the person for whom you are buying. Leopard print? Hot pink? Wood? They have them all. BUY ME
THREE DAY RESET: BEST GIFT EVER!!!!!! THE THREE DAY RESET is the perfect gift to give yourself, a family member or a stranger on the street. A completely doable three-day food plan that teaches clean eating on a manageable scale. BUY ME
YOGA TOWEL:Santa could benefit from some hot yoga. Hot yoga is a quick way to start dropping some pounds, but you are going to need a yoga towel for all that sweat. This towel is my favorite (and have tried them all. ) Little sticky bits on the underside keep the towel from sliding on your mat and a host of radical colors from which to choose. BUY ME
HEADPHONES: Who doesn’t love a cool new pair of headphones. BEATS seem to corner the market but here is a beautiful pair by SENNHEISER that are of excellent quality and won’t break the bank. BUY ME
PEDOMETER: This is the perfect stocking stuffer! This pedometer makes it easier for that fitness fanatic that doesn’t like to tote their phone with them. BUY HERE

BONUS: This fitness gift idea is something truly special. It’s called the Oura Ring and it looks like a regular ring band, BUT…it’s definitely more than that. The inlaid sensors gives you insightful data that will help you improve your overall health – from sleep to performance analytics, you’ll definitely want to add this to the gift list.

I seriously want the adjustable dumbbells… also, HOW do I not have resistance bands…
I recently started a new job which leaves less time to work out and also isn’t convenient to a local gym for me.. I’m struggling to figure out the where/when of the workout right now, so I think “at home” is going to be the key through the winter until I can get my runners back on
