I have always been more of a gummy worm, licorice kind of gal but somewhere around 38, my hormones turned into chocolate demanding little beasts. When I gave up sugar (that is an ongoing battle) I wanted to find a recipe that satisfied the chocolate hankering without sacrificing taste. A friend (thanks, Joy!) provided me with the basic recipe for a chocolate bark of sorts. Through trial and error, I took it up a notch to create a health-benefit-loaded, sugar-free, chocolate fix that will not disappoint.

Sugar has always been my nemesis. Giving it up has been an ongoing battle. It is tough to go “cold turkey” with a habit we are trying to change. Replacing the vice, as opposed to eliminating it, can prove to have better long-term success rates – Chewing a toothpick, instead of smoking, or soda water in replacement of Diet Cokes. What vice do you have that needs to go? What healthy option can you use as a replacement so you experience better success?

Ha ha, food has that effect on me too, Rutuja!
My mouth started watering as soon as I saw the photo. Now, after reading, I’m just drooling all over my keyboard haha! I love anything with coconut so this will definitely be something I’m going to bake for the husband for Valentine’s day! Thanks for making me hungrier!
No baking necessary! They are raw and can be made within minutes. Just throw them in the freezer to harden them and store them there if you can hold off eating the whole pan!
This is a great option for valentine’s day specially for those (like me) who lovesssss chocolate! Thanks for sharing this amazing recipe! Pinning!
Thanks so much Tayrina! Let me know how it turns out for you! 🙂

Heather, I made these for the first time today. A delish cold and crunchy indulgence for a hot summer day! Thx for the recipe!
I love them so much, sometimes they don’t even make it to the freezer and I just eat the sloppy mess out of a cup standing at the kitchen sink. Not kidding! Ha Ha!
